Career opportunities at Donson include:

This position involves experienced machining activities including set-up, operation, programming, and offsets. You will be asked to read blue-prints, perform quality checks on parts, and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality standards. Other qualifications include an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to deburr parts. CNC Machinists at Donson are a group of people that utilize technical skill, shop floor experience, and a whole bunch of creativity on a regular basis. A CNC Machinist at Donson will have several years of machining experience. Our Machinist  use this experience to create new CNC programs for all different types of parts in the medical industry. This is a great role for someone that is coming in with a strong CNC background that wants to build their experience with some of the most critical pieces in the medical industry.

Quality Inspectors at Donson are made up of people with varying degrees of experience, but the same self-pride that comes from knowing you’ve helped ensure each and every part that leaves our doors is up to customer standards. Prior to production runs, a quality inspector will check a “first piece,” verifying all dimensions and specifications have been addressed in that machining, assembling, subcontracting, or packaging sequence. We are looking for men and women that have strong skills with inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, vision systems, etc.), a strong foundation in blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and some experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

At Donson we are always looking for Senior Engineers, that is, those that have worked in the industry for many years, and also Degreed Engineers, those that recently earned a degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering. Our team of mechanical and manufacturing engineers experience fast-paced work days requiring organization, technical knowledge, and creativity. After 3-5 years of structured training and experience on our shop floor, engineers earn the opportunity to use that manufacturing experience to help our customers create the best possible product. Our engineers support customer’s projects from cradle to grave, meaning we are constantly providing feedback on how parts or assemblies may be produced differently improve functionality, quality, and cost among many other characteristics.This position touches several different aspects of the company and provides a wide range of experience, ultimately focusing in on the importance of quality and customer relations.

There are entry-level positions offered in a variety of our departments. Some of the departments include; Saw Operator, Cleaning & Assembly, Finishing (Polishing & Deburring), Maintenance, and Administration. All entry-level positions will involve on-the-job-training for employees, including apprenticeship opportunities. Having the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, the ability to work in a fast pace setting, and being a team player are characteristics to have. Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed.
